Deleting service categories
You can delete service categories that are no longer needed. Deleting a service category affects only records that are created after you publish the container.
To delete a service category
- Open the service portfolio or knowledge base that contains the service category to be deleted:
- Click the Administration tab.
- In the appropriate section, click the name of the service portfolio or knowledge base that you to modify or click Manage to open the container Administration page. Then double-click the container.
The container details page appears.
- In the left pane, click Category Trees.
- Select the category tree that you want to delete and click Delete.
A confirmation message appears. Click Yes. - Click Save.
- Publish the container to implement your changes:
- Click Save and Publish.
A confirmation message appears. - Click Yes.
The Publication Succeeded message appears, showing the number of errors and warnings.
- Click Save and Publish.
