Resolution
To resolve this issue, consider following options:
- Export your FootPrints version 11.0 contacts to a CSV file and import them on FootPrints version 12.0.
- Move your contact data to a database supported in FootPrints version 12.0 and then configure it to use that database as the source for address book contacts.
The following procedures help you to create a CSV file for configuring external source for a supported database.
Creating a CSV file to export contacts in FootPrints version 11.0
- Navigate to a workspace which is linked to an address book.
- To export address book contacts to a CSV file, navigate to Administration > Address Book > Export Data > Manage > (Address book) > Actions > Export to a template.
- Save the file at a preferred location.
Importing contacts to FootPrints version 12.0
- To check that the corresponding FootPrints address book is created, navigate to Administration > Address Books > (Address Book) > Contact > Address Book Options > Internal Address Book
- To import contacts from the CSV file to the internal address book:
- Navigate to Administration > System Management > Import > New Task > Import Task > Contacts.
- On the Import Contacts tab, enter appropriate values in the Source Configuration, Data Destination, Map Fields, and Schedule Task selections.
- Click Schedule Task.
- Before using them in a production environment, make sure that you test your configuration database and connections.
Configuring external source for a supported database
- Move your contact data from its current database to a supported SQL database type.
For more information, see System requirements . - To configure your FootPrints version 12.0 address book contact to use this new database source, navigate to Administration > Address Books > (Address Book) > Contact > Address Book Options > Dynamic SQL > Configure External Source.
- Before using them in a production environment, make sure that you test your configuration and database connections.
