Configuring approvals for solutions
You can require that solutions be reviewed and approved before they are published. Using role permissions, you can prevent certain users from submitting solutions to the knowledge bases or require some users to receive approval before their solutions are published. This gives administrators better control over what information is published to customers.
To implement approvals for solutions, follow the instructions in Creating approval processes which describes the requirements for implementing approvals for workspaces. The steps are essentially the same. You can create Status values and define business rules if needed to better reflect your business process for managing knowledge base content.
Once a solution is approved, its Status is changed to Active and it becomes available to authorized knowledge base users.
