12.1.03: Service Pack 3

This topic contains information about fixes and enhancements in FootPrints 12.1.03 release, and provides instructions for downloading and installing the 12.1.03 version.

Previously, you could only view the record history for Tickets. From FootPrints version 12.1.03, you can view the following history details for all other record types (such as CIs, Services, Contracts):

  • View updated the record
  • Time when it was last updated

You can now attach files to any type of record in FootPrints, (such as CIs, Services, Contracts).

  • Automatic or manual page refresh
  • Ticket update

Users with customer role can use Dynamic SQL Field Mapper

When creating or editing records, customers can now populate fields with data from external sources.

Ability to use relative date criteria for searches and reports In list views and reports, you can now get a list of records based on dates relative to today's date. 
For example, you can get a list of Tickets with a due date in the next two hours, or a report on Tickets closed in the past three days.

Limit dependencies of child multi-select fields choices

In a dependency, you can limit the options available for selection in a multi-select field type by specifying values in the parent field.

Note: You can restrict choices only if the multi-select field type is a child field.

For example, you can restrict the choices in the child field Version (6s, 6s plus, SE or Galaxy Edge, Galaxy Note) based on the value selected in the Phone field (Apple iphone or Samsung).

Email Attachments with .zip and .exe extensions are now supported

In version 12.1.02 and earlier of FootPrints, the file attachments with .zip or .exe extensions were removed from a Ticket. Now, all attachments can be attached to a Ticket.


Default access to all record definitions of a new container to all container user roles 

All the new roles created when you create a container are assigned default access to all the record definitions in the container. You no longer need to manually provide record definition access to all user roles in the container.

MS SQL Server 2014 support

MS SQL Server 2014 database is now supported for FootPrints installations.

End of support for Internet Explorer 8 browser

For version 12.1.03 of FootPrints, Internet Explorer 8 browser is not tested and is no longer supported officially. You may continue to use FootPrints, but certain functionality available in version 12.01.03 might not be available.

Improved Service Level Management performance

Enhanced formulae are used to save time while calculating the remaining time for a work target linked to ticket.

Impact of permission security issue after upgrading

In FootPrints version 12.01.02 and earlier, a permission security issue accidentally allowed users to access the field data secured by Container Role permissions. This issue has been fixed in FootPrints version 12.1.03.

After upgrading to FootPrints version 12.01.03, a few On Screen Rules or defined workflow criteria might not work as they did previously for user roles that do not have appropriate access to the fields used.
