Synergy with other BMC products
BMC AMI Fast Path Online Restructure for IMS works with other BMC products in your environment to optimize resource usage and to increase the advantages that you receive from the products.
BMC recommends that you install these products.
DELTA IMS or BMC AMI Change Manager for IMS TM
One of the following products should be active on your IMS system:
Version 6.5.02 or later of the DELTA IMS product
Version 2.3.02 of the BMC AMI Change Manager for IMS TM product
The DELTA interface automatically reloads ACB control blocks into the IMS system, which shortens the online outage time.
If DELTA IMS or BMC AMI Change Manager for IMS TM is not active on your IMS system, you must complete specific post-processing tasks manually. For more information, see Completing post-processing tasks manually.
RECOVERY PLUS for IMS
RECOVERY PLUS for IMS can use the secondary shadow area data sets as input into a recovery.
IMAGE COPY PLUS
IMAGE COPY PLUS can use the secondary shadow area data sets as input to create a standard batch image copy.
BMC AMI Application Restart Control for IMS
Version 3.7.00 or later of BMC AMI Application Restart Control for IMS should be active on your IMS system.
BMC AMI Application Restart Control for IMS automatically stops BMPs from executing when the restructure process begins, and restarts them as needed.
BMC AMI Fast Path Online Analyzer for IMS
BMC licenses BMC AMI Fast Path Online Analyzer for IMS to run on specific CPUs.
You can perform an analysis of all areas for the restructured database during Prepare function processing.
