Initializing associated indexes
If the DEDB being initialized has registered indexes, you might also want to request that any or all of these indexes be initialized simultaneously with the initialization function.
Specify the IX subcommand and associated keywords for the index to be initialized. For details about the IX subcommand, see

The example in the following figure requests that all indexes which are registered to the DEDB be initialized.
INITIALIZE DBD=dbdname, IAREA=ALL
