Restricting incoming message size

The size of incoming email (with attachments) can be limited for your system but not for individual containers. The default limit is 1 MB and the maximum allowed size is 9 MB for both the message and its attachments.

To restrict incoming email message size

1. Click the Administration tab.
2. In the System Management section, click Email Settings > Incoming Email (System).
   The System Incoming Email page appears.
3. In the left pane, click Error Notifications & Content Restrictions.
4. In the Content Restrictions section, enter the maximum size allowed for incoming messages including attachments.
5. Click Save.
   Your changes are implemented.
