Creating subtask tickets

Sometimes the task identified on a ticket must be divided into subtasks to manage the different parts of the task. If linking Master/Subtask Tickets is available on the ticket form, you can create linked subtask tickets from a  Master Ticket.

When you create a subtask from another ticket, the originating ticket is designated as a Master Ticket automatically, with a parent-child relationship between the Master Ticket and the subtask.

Before a Master Ticket can be closed, the subtasks must be completed.
