Built-in fields

Certain fields are created by the system when containers and items are created. These are called built-in fields.

Note

You can edit built-in fields but you cannot delete them. However, use caution when changing the built-in values as they may be used by the system for background processing. This is especially true for built-in service portfolio fields.

You cannot modify the preconfigured choices for some specific built-in fields. For more information, see About predefined choices for built-in fields.

 The tables shown below list the built-in fields with their types, sorted by container.

Note

The Asset Item fields appear only if BMC Client Management (BCM) integration is enabled.
