RECON data set errors

I/O RECON data set errors might occur on your selected RECON data set, or on both RECON data sets.

If you encounter these errors, perform the following steps:

To correct an I/O error on the selected RECON data set

Perform the following steps:

  1. Specify the alternate RECON data set on the RECONUSE DD statement.
  2. Rerun TSSAFR1.

To correct an I/O error on both RECON data sets

Perform the following steps:

  1. Specify DBRC=NO on the TSSAFR1 utility control statement.
  2. Provide the required log data sets concatenated in date/time sequence through the appropriate DD statements (SLDSLOG and/or OLDSLOG). To determine the required log data sets, you can find all DFS3257I messages, including the first one before the Checkpoint-ID, on the IMS hardcopy log or the JES output for the failed IMS session.
  3. Rerun TSSAFR1.
