The PRINTER application class and its corresponding collector, P= RINTERColl, are installed in an inactive state. They do not automatically g= ather information when loaded. For instructions on deactivating data collec= tion for the PRINTER application class, see Deac= tivating data collection for the PRINTER application class. The instruc= tions in this topic tell you how to activate the PRINTER application class.=
Use the same method to activate and deactivate application classes and t= heir collectors. For example, if you use another method to activate the PRI= NTER application class (such as customizing it with a PATROL Developer Cons= ole), attempting to deactivate it with the menu command UNIX OS > Knowled= ge Module Admin > PRINTER application >= Deactivate Monitoring, will fail.
