Running ETL
The first time that you run extract, transform, and load (ETL) after installing the product, it populates the empty reports data warehouse and can take some time. The amount of the data transferred during the first ETL run depends on the number of months that you specify while configuring the primary site for the ETL cutoff period. For information about ETL cutoff period, see Managing sites.
- Use the run_etl_from_om.nsh script to create a TrueSight Server Automation Network Shell Job that runs ETL. This is the recommended method of running ETL.
- Use the run_etl.nsh script to run ETL in scheduled runs or directly from the command line.
The following topics describe how to use the ETL process:
- Importing scripts for running ETL and archiving data by using TrueSight Server Automation jobs
- Running ETL using TrueSight Server Automation jobs
- Running ETL using an NSH script
- Scheduling ETL for multiple sites
- Viewing the ETL status
- Viewing scenarios
- Handshake between ETL and TrueSight Server Automation database
- Viewing the log files for ETL runs
