Before you send saved reports to recipients, you must perform the following procedures to configure the mail-out:

To perform this procedure, you must have Operator-level access, or higher.

Mail-outs are scheduled only when they are fully configured and enabled. You can enable a mail-out only when at least one report is selected and at least one recipient is specified.

Note

Report mail-outs are sent by email via an SMTP server. The system enables you to specify the SMTP account to be used for sending email messages. Before using this feature, you must configure a target SMTP server.

To create a report-mail-out

  1. On the Real User Analyzer, go to the Reports > Report mail-outs page.

  2. On the Action menu, click Create new mail-out.
  3. In the Name box, type a name for the mail-out.
  4. In the Schedulesection, specify the scheduling options:
    • Daily – Select the time and days of the week when you want the system to send reports via email.
    • Weekly – Select one day in a week to send reports at the specified time.
    • Monthly – Select one day in a month to send reports at the specified time.
      Use the lists to specify the sending frequency (for example last day of a month or every fourth Saturday).
  5. (Optional) If you want email messages to include a link back to the system web interface to display the corresponding report, click the Mail-out links check box.
  6. Click OK.

To add reports to a mail-out

  1. On the Real User Analyzer, go to the Reports > Report mail-outs page.

  2. On the shortcut menu for the selected report mail-out, click Edit Reports.
  3. Select the check boxes for the reports that you want to add to the mail-out.
  4. Depending on the type of report you add to the mail-out, you need to configure different fields:
    • If the Data series filed is displayed, select the check boxes of the data series that you want to include in the report.
    • In the Time period list, click the time period that you want to use for the report.
  5. Click OK.

To add recipients to a mail-out

  1. On the Real User Analyzer, go to the Reports > Report mail-outs page.

  2. On the shortcut menu for the selected mail-out, click Edit Recipients.
  3. In the Recipients box, enter the email addresses of the recipients, separating them with commas.
    You can add up to 10 recipients per mail-out.
  4. Click OK.

To enable a report mail-out

  1. On the Real User Analyzer, go to the Reports > Report mail-outs page.

  2. For the selected mail-out report, click ON.

    The system sends the mail-out at the defined schedule. You can test it via the Send now command.
