Remedyforce usage data collection

Starting with the Winter 17 release, submission of usage data to BMC Software has been enabled. The submitted usage data is completely anonymous and does not contain any personal or sensitive information.The collected usage data helps BMC Software to optimally make improvements to the product to directly benefit you. The usage data is submitted only for the production organizations.

The Remedyforce usage data collection helps BMC Software understand how the BMC Remedyforce features are used in customer environments in a better way. It enables the submission of anonymous usage data to BMC Software. The submitted usage data helps BMC Software to optimally make improvements to the product to directly benefit you.

Usage data submission

The usage data is submitted monthly (on the first day of every month) only for the production organizations. Usage data is not submitted for the sandbox organizations.

Anonymity of the usage data

The following types of responses are sent to BMC Software as a part of the usage data:

  • Yes or No responses:These responses in a Yes or No format, inform whether a feature (such as Discovery or Service Health) is enabled in a BMC Remedyforce organization.
  • Numerical responses: These responses in a numerical format (for example, 150), inform the count of records (such as incidents or service requests) in a BMC Remedyforce organization.
