Installing BMC Atrium Single Sign-On with the AR System server and Mid Tier
Important
BMC recommends that you install the BMC Remedy Mid Tier, BMC Remedy AR System server, and BMC Atrium Single Sign-On server on separate computers.
However, if you do install more than one BMC Product on the same computer, ensure that the HTTP, HTTPS, and Shutdown port numbers are different.
Perform the following steps to install BMC Atrium Single Sign-On with AR System server and Mid Tier
- Installing BMC Atrium Single Sign-On as a standalone or as a High Availability cluster
- Installing or upgrading BMC Remedy AR System server and BMC Remedy Mid Tier
Note
For detailed information on installing and configuring BMC Atrium Service Context, see Setting up BMC Atrium Service Context. As a bare minimum, you must install the Web Services Registry (UDDI), which is required for BMC Atrium Service Context. The Web Services Registry is an option within the BMC Atrium Core installation program.
Comments
Hello,
On the above you mentioned that we need to perform
Then to perform the integration, first run the installer on the computer where the AR System server is installed, and then run the installer a second time on the computer where the Mid Tier is installed.
Does this mean first we need to install on each SSO, ARS, and MidTier servers then we install the same SSO installer on ARS, and Midtier servers? please advise, thank you
Hi Darmawan,
Thank you for your comment. You interpretation is correct.
Starting 9.0 release, there is a single SSO installer which is used for installation and integration.
So, you need to first install SSO, ARS and Mid Tier on respective machines. Then run the same SSO installer for integration. But, you need to run it on ARS and Mid Tier servers this time.
Thanks!
