This topic provides information about configuring Sybase Global Configuration by using Central Monitoring Administration.
On the Add Monitor Types dialog, with the Monitoring Profile set to Sybase Monitoring, and the Monitor Type set to Sybase Global Configuration, provide the following details:

| Global setting | |
| Java home | Enter the path to the Java home directory. Note: Configuration of Java home is mandatory before instance configuration. |
| Java arguments | Enter the Java arguments. |
| Global logging | Select the check box to turn the logging on or off for the Sybase KM. By default, the data collection logging is turned off. |
