Page not found errors might occur in different circumstances. For example, if the port number for the BMC Impact Integration Web Services Tomcat is in use when you start the Tomcat server, you cannot access the web services web point.

If server1 process is listening on address-x/port-x, and a client of server2 sends a request to the address-x/port-x, then server1 will get the request and be unable to deal with it properly, resulting in a Page not found error.

If you receive a Page not found error, perform the following steps:

  1. Verify that the server process is configured to use the correct address and port that  the client is using.
  2. Verify that the server process was successful in using the configured address and port by checking the SEVERE Error in Tomcat/logs/Catalina.log.
    1. Access the $IIWS_HOME/Tomcat/logs directory.
    2. Search for the latest Catalina log for a SEVERE: Error initializing endpoint message, which looks similar to the following example:

       Sep 24, 2012 11:16:57
       org.apache.coyote.http11.Http11AprProtocol init
       SEVERE: Error initializing endpoint
