The TrueSight console is a modern, web-based user interface technology integrated throughout the TrueSight product suite. This new technology, which is hosted on the Presentation Server, is a more modern and interactive UI, and is also available on mobile devices such as tablets.
In version 10.5.00 of BMC TrueSight Capacity Optimization, the Capacity Pools view is available on this new interface.
Access to the Presentation Server component is enabled through integrated system authentication with BMC Atrium Single Sign-On. Any Atrium SSO user authorized to access the Capacity Pools view, can login to this component. To be able to access Capacity Pools view, you must add the Capacity Optimization component on the TrueSight console. To add the Capacity Optimization component in the TrueSight console
- In the TrueSight console, click Administration > Components.
In the Components page, select the action menu
next to Components, and select Add Component.For the component type, select Capacity Optimization.
Enter a valid Host Name or IP Address.
Notes
- You must enter the host name of the datahub that hosts BMC TrueSight Capacity Optimization Datahub web services.
- If the "Invalid Host Name or IP Address" message appears, re-enter a valid name or address. The name or address cannot start or end with a dash ( - ), cannot contain any spaces, or exceed 63 characters.
- Select the Protocol as HTTPS or HTTP. The default is HTTPS.
Accept the Port default value (8280).
Accept BmcRealm as the default tenant or select any of the listed tenants. The list includes each tenant defined in the Atrium Single Sign-On system.
Click Save.
The Capacity Optimization component is added and is listed in the Components page.
Verifying component registration
If the component is successfully registered, the Status column shows Connected, that indicates that the component is registered successfully, as shown in the following image:
Capacity views is available in the Navigation panel. You can start accessing the capacity views from the Capacity views menu.

If Atrium Single Sign-On is not configured correctly with BMC TrueSight Capacity Optimization, you get the following error when you try to access the Capacity Pools View:
BCO_PS_ERR102: Unauthorized: Capacity Optimization access is denied, check your Atrium Single Sign On configuration.
