Tip

The BMC Documentation portal gives you the ability to generate PDF and Microsoft Word documents of single pages, and to create PDF exports of multiple pages in a space.

Creating PDF and Word exports

You can create a PDF of a page or a set of pages. (Non-English page exports are not supported.) You can also create a Word document of the current page.

To export to PDF or Word

  1. From the Tools menu in the upper-right, select a format:
    • Export to Word to export the current page to Word format
    • Export to PDF to export the current page or a set of pages to PDF
  2. If exporting to PDF, select what you want to export:
    • Only this page to export the current page
    • This page and its children to export a set of pages
For example, selecting This page and its children from the home page exports the entire space to PDF.

  1. Hi

i have already noticed earlier that BMC has a weird problem with versioning, and that causes a lot of confusion for us customers.

BMC has released 2 different SR 3.0 service pack 1 releases:

    1. on April 2: Service Pack 1 for BMC Service Resolution
    2. on June 5: Service Pack 1 with support extended for BMC ProactiveNet 9.6

Now, i want the second one (released on June 5) because we are using BPPM 9.6.

However, why does BMC say "we have extended the support for..." without actually changing the (minor) version of the patch itself?!

How can i be sure that i am downloading the "correct" Service Pack 1 for BMC Service Resolution from EPD?! The minor version for both SP1 variants is the same: 3.0.01

I would expect the latest release to be i.e. 3.0.02

Now on top of that, there is only one SR 3.0 SP1 on EPD available (version 3.0.01) and the release date is: 2015-04-02 (in the header on top of the EPD dialog).

The file relase date is 2015-03-22

This makes me believe that EPD actually still offers only the April version of SP1 (the one that only supports BPPm 9.5 SP1).

And that means i must not download and use this patch as this is not a June version i need because it is not applicable to BPPM 9.6.

BMC PLEASE: if you are "extending" the existing patch - it's a NEW patch! Must have a new version!

anyway, when do you plan to actually offer the June version on EPD?

    tnx

    1. No response? No reaction?

      1. Hi Marko,

        Apologies for the late response.

The June version is already available on the EPD. Please ignore the Release Date displayed on the EPD; the installer files are the latest ones (June release). The version number for this release is not changed because there is no code change in BMC Service Resolution.

Sorry for the confusion. Please let us know if you face any other issue.

        Regards,

        Ashwini Mathad
