OS support
This page lists the changes in OS support in BMC Server Automation version 8.3, including changes implemented in BMC Server Automation 8.2 Service Packs.

New components added to currently supported platforms
The following table list new combinations of operating systems and components that are supported in BMC Server Automation 8.3. (A plus sign indicates support.)

Deprecated platform support
Support for the following operating systems has been deprecated or is planned to be deprecated.
Deprecated in version 8.3
BMC Server Automation 8.3 no longer supports the following platforms:
- HP-UX (PA-RISC) 11.11 (11i v1)
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (x86) 3
- Oracle Solaris (sun4u) 8
- Oracle Solaris (sun4u) 9 by the BMC Server Automation Application Server
Deprecated in the next release
The next release of BMC Server Automation will not support components on the following platforms:
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4
In addition, the next release of BMC Server Automation will not support the following:
- BMC BladeLogic Bulk RSCD Agent Installer
The BMC Unified Agent Installer replaces the BMC BladeLogic Bulk RSCD Agent Installer.
