This section provides instructions about performing a silent installation of BMC Release Process Management and BMC Release Lifecycle Management Requester UI (now called Release Process Management - Requester UI, 5.0.03.001 onward). A silent (or unattended) installation obtains the required user input or installation settings from an options file. You can create an options file to perform an installation or migration of the product in silent mode. This file defines installation settings such as the type of installation, the features to install, the installation location, and the configuration settings for the components.
You can use silent mode to perform the product installation in a system that has no display device, keyboard, or mouse. See the following topics for instructions about performing a silent installation.
