Through the Portal Locations section on the Portal tab you can specify the locations of Portal artifacts (themes and skins, portlets, and personalization artifacts) that are installed with a Portal Configuration.

To configure the locations of Portal artifacts

  1. In the Portal Locations section on the Portal tab, complete the relevant fields in the Portal Source Directories subsection:

    Field

    Description

    Themes/Skins Directory

Path to the local directory that contains your collection of Portal themes and skins, to use in Configuration installations performed by the BMC Middleware Automation product.
This directory must have the same directory structure as the Portal content root. The structure must match the complete theme or skin directory structure, but can be sparse. For example, you can set the Themes/Skins Directory to C:\dev\themesandskins. If you are updating a file in a skin named SineWave, you should have a directory named C:\dev\themesandskins\skins\html\SineWave.

    Portlets Directory

Path to the directory that contains your collection of portlets, to use in Configuration installations performed by BMC Middleware Automation.

  2. To set the IBM WebSphere Portal Personalization properties, click Update Personalization Settings in the Portal Personalization subsection. Then complete the following fields in the Portal Personalization dialog box:

    Field

    Description

    Personalization Directory

Path to a local directory on your workstation that contains personalization artifacts to be published during a Configuration installation, such as campaigns and other Portal applications. This directory should contain only exported .node files from WebSphere Personalization Portlets.

    Target Workspace

Name of the workspace to which you want to publish personalization artifacts

    Target Workspace Path

The path within the workspace to which to publish personalization artifacts

    User Name

    WebSphere Portal user name

    Password

Password for the specified WebSphere Portal user name

    Publish Servlet URL

The URL of the publish servlet on the personalization server.

  3. Click OK in the Portal Personalization dialog box, and then save the Server Profile.

Note

Portal Personalization properties are published using the pznload script (pznload.sh or pznload.bat) on the WebSphere Portal. The default location for this script is PORTAL_HOME/pzn/prereq.pzn/publish/ (on Portal 6.1) or PORTAL_HOME/pzn/version/publish/ (on Portal 6.0). If your pznload script is stored in a non-default location, you can define the location through the jvmarg.phpznLoadLocation launcher property. For more information, see Defining launcher properties.
