Unable to find line containing BLencrypt in file

On Windows, installation fails with the following error message:

 Unable to find line containing BLencrypt in file <BDSSAInstallationDirectory>\blenc.txt 

Solution

This error message appears if the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package is missing. Complete the following steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Download the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package from the Microsoft website.
  2. Install the package.
  3. Uninstall the product.
  4. Rerun the installation program.
