Use the following worksheets to collect the information you need when Performing the BMC Capacity Optimization installation:

For information about your Oracle database, contact your Oracle database administrator.

Worksheet for all BMC Capacity Optimization installations

For every BMC Capacity Optimization installation, you need to supply the following information:

Worksheet for installing the BMC Capacity Optimization database schema 

Use the following worksheet for installing the BMC Capacity Optimization database schema. A Typical Setup installation includes this database schema.

Note

The installation must connect to the database using the SYS user. You can specify the SYSTEM user, only if the Oracle database has granted SYSDBA privileges to the SYSTEM user (GRANT SYSDBA TO SYSTEM;). No other database users may be specified.

Worksheet for configuring Oracle databases to have data as ASM

Use the following worksheet when you want to configure Oracle databases to have data as AutomatedStorageMgmt (ASM) instead of in files in a regular file system.

Worksheets for installing components other than the database schema

Use the following worksheets when you are not installing the BMC Capacity Optimization database schema. You do not install the BMC Capacity Optimization database schema when you have already installed it on an existing BMC Capacity Optimization server.

Use the following worksheet for servers that connect to an existing BMC Capacity Optimization server over a LAN.
