IBM Tivoli Netcool OMNIbus adapter

The BMC Atrium Orchestrator Application Adapter for IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus receives events from the object server and interacts with data in the Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus database. The application adapter for IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus contains an actor and a monitor adapter.

The actor adapter for IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus provides operations that query the Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus database to extract or manipulate data in the database. The operations in this actor adapter can perform the following tasks:

  • Insert an alert into the Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus database.
  • Add a journal entry to a specific record in the Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus database..
  • Delete an alert from the Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus database
  • Update an alert record in the Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus database with a new field value specified in the query.
  • Query and retrieve one or more alerts from the Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus database that satisfy a specified condition.

The Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus actor adapter enables the BMC Atrium Orchestrator workflows to interact with the backend database for IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus.
