    BMC TrueSight Operations Management 10.5

    Fix Packs do not contain all of the files that are required for a complete product installation. Fix Packs are cumulative and contain all updates released prior to the Fix Pack.

    Before you install the Fix Pack, you must have previously installed the base version of the product.

    Installing the Fix Pack 1 for TrueSight Operations Management 10.5 consists of the following steps:

    1. Prepare for the installation of the Fix Pack.
    2. Install Fix Pack 1 (10.5.00.001) for TrueSight Presentation Server 10.5.
    3. Install Fix Pack 1 (10.5.00.001) for TrueSight Infrastructure Management 10.5.
    4. Install Fix Pack 1 (10.5.00.001) for TrueSight App Visibility Manager 10.5.
    5. Install Fix Pack 1 (10.5.00.001) for PATROL for Application Management 10.5.

    To apply Fix Pack 1, install all the above components in the recommended sequence.

    Step 1: Download the Fix Pack

    High-availability installation:  Applying feature packs or fix packs on the Presentation Server in a high availability deployment

    Verify the Presentation Server upgrade.Verifying the Presentation Server operation after applying feature packs or fix packs
    Step 3: Install the Fix Pack on the Infrastructure Management components

    Install or upgrade the remote Integration Service and remote cell.

    GUI-based installation:

    Silent installation:

    High-availability installation: 

    Applying feature packs or fix packs on the remote cells in HA mode

    (Optional) TLS configuration:

    Configuring the Integration Service and PATROL Agent to enable TLS communication

    Upgrade the TrueSight Infrastructure Management server.

    GUI-based installation:

    Applying feature packs or fix packs on the Infrastructure Management server

    Silent installation: 

    Applying feature packs or fix packs silently on Infrastructure Management

    High-availability installation: 

    Applying feature packs or fix packs on Infrastructure Management in high availability cluster mode

    Install or upgrade the BMC CMDB Extensions.Installing the BMC CMDB Extensions to enable integration with BMC Atrium CMDB
    Install the remote Administration Console.

    GUI-based installation: 

    Downloading and installing the administrator console on remote computers

    Silent installation: 

    Installing the administration console silently

    Step 4: Install the Fix Pack on the App Visibility Manager components

    Install the Fix Pack on the App Visibility server.

    Applying Fix Pack 1 to the App Visibility server

    Install the Fix Pack on the App Visibility agents for Java.

    Interactive:

    Performing an App Visibility agent for Java upgrade

    Silent:

    Performing an App Visibility agent for Java upgrade silently

    Install the Fix Pack on the App Visibility agents for .NET.

    GUI-based:

    Performing an App Visibility agent for .NET upgrade

    Silent upgrade:

    Performing the App Visibility agent for .NET upgrade silently

    When you finish installing Fix Pack 1, click the View Log button on the installation screen and confirm there are no warnings or errors in the installation log.  If no warnings or errors exist, open the App Visibility Agent for .NET log file (current.log) and confirm that the version and build number is 10.5.00.b96.

    Install the Fix Pack on the TEA Agent.

    Note: For Oracle RAC databases, Fix Pack 1 corrects issues with the Migration Tool from TM ART.
