Note

Consider the following hardware configurations for BMC ProactiveNet Integration Services:

  • A 32-bit Integration Service manages up to 125,000 attributes for every 2 CPU and 2 GB RAM.
  • (Windows only) A 64-bit Integration Service manages up to 500,000 attributes for every 2 CPU with a total of 4 cores and 8 GB RAM.
  • (Solaris) The BMC ProactiveNet Integration service on Solaris, whether 32-bit or 64-bit computer, cannot monitor more than 125,000 attributes.
  • (Linux) Scalability testing was not done for the Integration Service on a 64-bit Linux computer.

  1. Please expand or restate what "for every 2 CPU with a total of 4 cores" means in the "Note" section in reference to "Windows only". Are you implying 2 x 4 = 8 cores?
