Support for monitoring network file systems version 3

PATROL for Linux gives you the ability to monitor various network components. The Network File System version 3 (NFSv3) provides you with an abstract view of the entire filesystem, regardless of the various systems' architectures and operating systems. Support for monitoring kernel-based virtual machines

With PATROL for Linux, you can monitor KVMs (kernel-based virtual machine). KVM is a full virtualization solution for Red Hat Enterprise Linux on x86-64 hardware containing virtualization extensions (Intel VT or AMD-V). For more information, Monitoring KVMs.

Support for Linux remote monitoring using Windows PATROL Agent

PATROL for Linux now supports remote monitoring of Linux using Windows PATROL Agent. For more information, see System requirements and Remote monitoring using Windows PATROL Agent.

PATROL for Linux can now monitor the following operating systems as hosts:

  • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 Sp4, x86_64
  • CentOS Linux 6.6, x86_64
  • CentOS Linux 7.1, x86_64 (only local monitoring)
  • Debian GNU/Linux 7.7, x86_64
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 5.11, x86_64
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 6.6, x86_64
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 7.1, x86_64 (only local monitoring)
  • Oracle Linux Server 7.1, x86_64 (only local monitoring)
  • Ubuntu 15.04, x86_64 (only local monitoring)
