The PATROL for Light Weight Protocols provides monitoring coverage based on Internet Control Message Protocol requests (ping) and Simple Network Management Protocol. The KM provides support for monitoring most commonly used MIBs (for example, Interface and Host MIB) and also allows you to define support for additional MIBs, commonly known as, MIB monitor. Monitoring and configuration can be done from TrueSight Operations Management console.

The online documentation only covers the use of this Knowledge Module in BMC TrueSight Operations Management and BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management environments.
