Language Information

Language

The choice is English.

Note: Although the universes and reports are available in French and Japanese, the installation utility is available in English only.

Directory Selection

Destination Directory

The directory where you want to install the product.

The default directory is C:\Program Files\ BMCSoftware\BMCAnalyticsForBSM.

• Change Analytics Authentication
• Repair AR System Database Objects
• Modify existing Timezone and Locale
• Modify existing Fiscal Calendar
• Re-execute the DENORMALIZE procedures.
• Re-populate the Enumerated Values (Overlays)
• Reload the LCM BIAR file

SAP BusinessObjects CMS Server Information

CMS Server Name

Host name for the SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise CMS server. If you are installing in a clustered environment, type the SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise server name instead of the cluster name.

User Name

The name of the administrator account for your SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise server. The default value is Administrator. The administrator account that you use can have an SAP BusinessObjects authentication type of Enterprise, Windows Active Directory, or LDAP.

Password

The password of the user account for your SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise server. By default, this is a null value.

Port Number

The port number assigned to your SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise server. The default value is 6400.

Secure Connection

The administrator account authentication type for your SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise server. The default value is Enterprise.

SAP BusinessObjects Information

Select Directory

The directory where the SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise SDK is stored. For example, C:\Program Files\BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\java\lib.

Note: If you are referring to the lib directory of SAP BusinessObjects on another computer, make sure that you have access to the directory over the network.

Authentication Method Selection
This screen appears only if you are installing on Microsoft Windows.

Select the method for user authentication.

SAP BusinessObjects Authentication (Enterprise)

The authentication type currently configured to access the SAP BusinessObjects Central Management Console.

BMC Atrium Single Sign-On Authentication

Integrates BMC Analytics for BSM with an installed BMC Atrium Single Sign-On server. Select this option only if there is a BMC Atrium Single Sign-On server already installed in your environment.

Enter the fully qualified domain name of the BMC Atrium Single Sign-On server, port number, and other required information.

BMC Remedy AR System Server Administrator Information

User Name

The name of the administrative account for the AR System server. The default value is Demo.

Password

The password of the administrative account for the AR System server

AR Server Host Name

The name of your BMC Remedy AR System server where the Fiscal Calendar will be imported. If you have a replicated server, this would be the replicated server name.

Port

The port number assigned to the AR System server. The default value is 0.

Enter the BMC Remedy Mid Tier URL and the port number in the following format: http://<Mid-tier server name>:<port number>

For example, http://abc-xyz-005744:8080

BMC Remedy AR System Server Database Platform Selection

The type of database used by BMC Remedy AR System Server

Select either of the following database options:

• MSSQL (Mixed Mode Authentication)
• MSSQL (Windows Authentication only)
• Oracle

BMC Remedy AR System Server Database Information

Note: BMC Analytics for BSM must point to a live database.

Host Name or IP Address

Host name of the replicated AR System server.

(Oracle only) SID Name

Oracle Database SID - or Service Name. The default value is ARSystem.

(SQL Server only) Instance Name

Microsoft SQL Server instance name for the AR System server database

(SQL Server only) Database Name

Microsoft SQL Server database name for the AR System server. The default value is ARSystem.

Database Port

Database port number. For Oracle, the default value is 1521. For Microsoft SQL Server, the default value is 1433.

Database User

The AR System server database user. The default value is ARAdmin. If your AR System server database is Microsoft SQL Server and uses SQL Server authentication, this user must be a member of the Local Administrators Group.

Password

Password for the AR System server database user

Fiscal Calendar Information

Start Year

The value of the year that you want to be the start year of the fiscal calendar. Enter any year between 1970 and 2037. For example, 2012.

Start Month

The month that you want to be the start month of the fiscal calendar, where the number 01 represents January, 02 represents February, and so on

Number of Years

A value that represents the duration of the fiscal calendar. For example, if you entered 2008 as a start year and you want the fiscal calendar to end 10 years from the start time, you would enter a value of 9.

DataSet Information

DatSet ID

The ID for the data set that contains the business service.

Atrium Single Sign-On Information
This page appears only if you selected BMC Atrium Single Sign-On as your authentication method.

Fully Qualified Host Name

Fully qualified host name of the BMC Atrium Single Sign-On server

HTTPS Port Number

HTTPS port number used by the BMC Atrium Single Sign-On server

Administrator Name

User name for the BMC Atrium Single Sign-On server administrator

Administrator Password

Password for the BMC Atrium Single Sign-On server administrator

Time zone Selection

Local host time zone

Time zone setting to be used by the reports.

Locale code

Locale used by the reports.
