Configuring Windows Event Log settings
The Windows event logs registered in the following Windows registry path can be configured for monitoring using Central Monitoring Administration: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Eventlog. You can change the monitoring properties of the monitored event logs or add other event logs to monitor.
Host Details
Use the Host Details section to configure the details of the host which is running the Windows Event Logs that need to be monitored. You can add multiple hosts for monitoring.
Event Log Details
Use the Event Log Details section to configure details for the event log for which you need to create a filter for monitoring.
Filter Details
Use the Filter Details section to configure details for the filter. Click the buttons available to configure the available filter options.
Source Details
Click Source Details to open a dialog box and configure the Event Log source to be filtered.
Event Type Details
Click Event Type Details to open a dialog box and configure the event types to be monitored.
Event ID Details
Click Event ID Details to open a dialog box and configure the Event IDs to be monitored.
Event Handling
Click Event Handling to open a dialog box and configure the handling of the events.
Advanced Properties
Click Advanced Properties to configure advanced properties. Click the buttons available to configure the available advanced options.
Click User Details to configure the list of users.
Click Category Details to configure the list of categories.
Click String Details to configure the list of strings.
Click Computer Details to configure the list of computers.
Monitor Configuration
After adding the required hosts to the list, click a button depending on the configuration changes required.
