BMC ProactiveNet provides the option of acknowledging events and add messages to those events. This feature is helpful when you want to know who has addressed the event or who is responsible for the event.
Acknowledging an event triggers the associated event rules. If acknowledging is cleared, the associated event rules are not triggered.
