Upgrade the BMC ProactiveNet Server.

In a multiple-server environment, install the Fix Pack on the child servers first and then the central server.

High-availability installation:

  1. with fixpack 2 and also with the latest bppm hotfix (HotfixCore_9.6.00.002.031) the mail.jar gets overwritten, resulting in 501 authentication failed messages and bppm not sending emails eg from event rules configured in bppm administration, until replacing the mail.jar as mentioned in KB 000055476

    this problem exists for a long time now, should be easy to fix
