In BMC Remedy AR System, an alternative currency type to which the value in a currency field is converted. Values for functional currencies are calculated according to currency conversion ratios maintained in a form on the server. Functional currency values are stored as part of the data in the currency field. Users can search for and view these values, and workflow can access the values.
