You specify how you want the events to be handled by an event manager and what actions you want to be taken when the event occurs. Event classes might be inherited from parent objects, depending on the specific product. The event class defines the type of an event.

A category of events that you can create based on how you want the events to be handled by an event manager and what actions you want to be taken when the event occurs. Event classes are stored in event catalogs and can be added, modified, or deleted only from a PATROL Console in the developer mode.
