  1. Would be nice to see the defination for "WIC" here. It is the output of successfully compiling MRL.

    1. Hello Thurlow,

Sorry, we were unable to find a definition of WIC. We found the following topics, which confirms what you already know.

  2. Maybe you should contact your R&D Department and get them to expound on the topic a little bit and then add what they tell you?  Telling paying customers that you can't find a definition is not very confidence inspiring.  :^|

    1. Hello Thurlow,

Sorry this response was not satisfactory. We did consult our SMEs and went back to the original source documentation to search for some explanation of the extension name.

The best information we could find is from the linked topics.

      • sim.wic—Contains the compiled implementation of primitives and functions that are loaded by the cell at startup
      • sim_decl.wic—Contains the compiled definitions for primitives and functions; it is loaded by the compiler to compile rules that reference SIM primitives For more information about functions and primitives, see Master Rule Language (MRL) reference.
      • .loadwic—Before the compilation of the Knowledge Base, rules and collectors are created in .mrl files and are included in the .load files. After compilation, rule and collector files are stored in .wic files and a .loadwic file is created for the KB to use. The .wic files are computer-readable only.
