History Reports Utility

BMC Software is releasing a utility to resolve issues in Usage reports, Usage alerts, and job history reports generated by Control-M/EM.

This Flash is an update to and supersedes the following Flash: Control-M-EM-Job-History-Reports

Note

  • You must run this utility immediately to fix the usage data. Failure to apply the fix might result in license compliance issues.
  • You must run this utility even if you implemented the solution described in KA000433846.


Versions: All versions upgraded from Control-M/EM earlier than 9.0.20.000

Corrected Problems

The following table describes the problems that are corrected by the History Reports utility:

(CTM-12251) Reports fail to generate from Control-M Web or Automation API and the following error message appears:

Unexpected end of JSON Input

2025 job history data is not saved in the Control-M/EM database and not available in the following reports:

  • Workflow Distribution   
  • Extreme Peak Usage
  • Trend Analysis   
  • Jobs Execution 

Usage Alerts

An erroneous Control-M Usage Alert might be issued, incorrectly notifying you that you have exceeded the permitted limit of tasks.
