Control-M for Informatica, Control-M for Hadoop, and Control-M for Backup Decoupled from Application Pack

BMC is decoupling Control-M for Informatica, Control-M for Hadoop, and Control-M for Backup from Application Pack.

Application Pack 9.0.21.100 is the final version that carries these plug-ins. From version 9.0.21.300, the most recent versions of these plug-ins will be available as stand-alone entities that you can download via EPD and install manually or with your own deployment tool. If you deploy these plug-ins via Application Pack Deployment in the CCM, they will remain at version 9.0.21.100. To get the latest version of Control-M for Informatica, Control-M for Hadoop, and Control-M for Backup, you must install these plug-ins individually.

This change enables users to install, upgrade, and manage each plug-in individually, without affecting other components, and saves machine resources. In addition, it prevents future security vulnerabilities by limiting third-party usage to the specific plug-in only.
