Adding daylight saving information in the Reporting database

The TrueSight Operations Management Reporting database does not contain information about daylight saving for the period after 31 December 2019. This might cause the following issues:

  • Data would not be available in the hourly and daily data tables in the Reporting database.
  • Daylight saving time would not be calculated, which would result in an incorrect time difference.

Solution

To resolve this issue, install the 11.3.01.000.10 hotfix before 31 December 2019.

Do the following:

  1. On the server where the TrueSight Operations Management Reporting database is installed, download the Hotfix_113010000010.zip file.
The file is attached in  this Knowledge Article Open link .

  2. Save the file in a temporary folder and extract all the files.

  3. Connect to the TrueSight Operations Management Reporting database with the Report Engine user name and password and run the following command:
    • (Oracle) rpt_timezone_oracle.sql
    • (SQL Server) rpt_timezone_mssql.sql

      Hello Abhay,

      Thanks for reaching out.

On Oracle, the schema and the user are the same. Since we need the changes in the Report Engine database schema (Oracle), the script needs to be run by the Report Engine user.

Admin privileges are not required to run the script.

      Hope this helps.

      Regards,

      Mukta
