Hardware recommendations

Hardware requirements must be considered when determining the size of your environment. Consider the following hardware requirements for SAP Business Objects reporting when determining the size of your environment for event reporting and impact reporting.

Hardware recommendations for Oracle database in BMC TrueSight Operations Management Reporting

Consider the following hardware requirements for an Oracle database server when you are planning the size of your environment for data-event management, impact-event management, data-impact-event management, and Business Objects reporting.

Note

The following recommendations are based on a test environment where the Oracle database server was installed on Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.

Scalability testing was not performed on UNIX-based platforms; however, all UNIX platforms supported by the Oracle database server are supported by BMC TrueSight Operations Management Reporting. If you are using a UNIX-based platform supported by the Oracle database server, follow the hardware recommendations for Linux.
