Running the Administrator Console in secure mode

To run the Administrator Console in secure mode, you must start the server in secure mode.

To run the administrator console in secure mode

1. Set the following property in the pronet.conf file to true: pronet.jserver.ssl.secure=true
   
   The Java Administration logon automatically detects whether the host has JServer configured in SecureRMI mode. If JServer is secure, Secure Mode is displayed on the Java Administration logon dialog box. For a regular JServer (not secure), Secure Mode is not displayed.
2. JServer is shipped with a default server certificate. Java Administration generates a warning message if the server certificate is not valid or is not signed by a trusted certificate authority (CA). In the warning message dialog box, click OK to complete the connection or click Cancel to close the connection.
