Integrating with TrueSight Smart Reporting
TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform is a web-based reporting application that provides extensive reporting capabilities for your entities that are managed by TrueSight Capacity Optimization.
The integration of TrueSight Capacity Optimization with TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform enables you to create, administer, and publish custom advanced reports for your entities seamlessly. You can use simple drag-and-drop actions to create complex reports. BMC recommends that you use TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform to create advanced reports as it provides live editing of reports via web browser, live preview, and easy customization of all aspects of a report. It also provides advanced report distribution options including the alert-based broadcast.
License requirements
TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform is available as a separately licensed product. To use the reporting capabilities in TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform, you must purchase a license for it.

Enabling the integration
Install TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform.
For details, see Installing TrueSight Smart Reporting .
You must install each of TrueSight Capacity Optimization components and TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform on separate computers.(Optional) Kerberos authentication for TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform
If you plan to use the Kerberos authentication to access TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform, do the following:
On Patch 1 (20.02.01) of TrueSight Capacity Optimization 20.02, apply Cumulative Hotfix 6 or later. For details on applying patches or hotfixes, see Performing system maintenance tasks.
- On TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform 20.02, apply Service Pack 2 or later. For details, see TrueSight Smart Reporting 20.02.02 .
Install the TrueSight Capacity Optimization andTrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform schemas on the same Oracle instance.
- Configure the Kerberos authentication for TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform. For details, see Configuring TrueSight Smart Reporting to use Kerberos authentication .
- As a Capacity Optimization Administrator, add TrueSight Capacity Optimization in TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform.
- Use the following URL to open the TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform Login page:
https://<TrueSight Smart Reporting hostname>:<port>/tsr - In the Click here to add a component link, click here.
In the Add Components page, specify the following values:
For Component Type, select TrueSight Capacity Optimization.
Enter the Host Name or IP Address of the server where the Data hub is installed.
Accept the default Protocol value as HTTPS.
Enter the Port number of the Application Server. For example, 8280.
Enter the credentials for the Capacity Optimization user with administrator privileges. For example, COAdmin.
- Click Save.
The TrueSight Capacity Optimization component is added and is listed in the Components page.
The registration might take some time to complete.
- Use the following URL to open the TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform Login page:
- Verify the integration.
- In TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform:
- On the Components page, ensure that the status is displayed as Connected.
- On the Components page, ensure that the status is displayed as Connected.
- In TrueSight Capacity Optimization:
- Log into the TrueSight Capacity Optimization console.
- Click Administration > System > Status.
- In the Status page, verify that the entry for TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform is displayed.
- In TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform:
- Configure the Access filter settings.
Perform step by step procedure listed in the Configuring TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform settings topic to add the system administrator user and refresh the access filter list. If you do not follow this procedure, the access filter will not work.
Access filters restrict data based on the users who are running a report. For example, managers may be allowed to see employee details from their respective departments only.
You can now cross-launch in to TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform from the TrueSight console and start using the reporting capabilities.

Should probably be made clear that this is for Smart Reporting Platform and not Smart Reporting OM, which you would assume since TSCO needs to install the RSSO and the TSPS and part of the TS Operations Management suite.
