The Instance Types tab enables you to see the resource usage by flavor at the cloud level which gives a clear idea of how the resources in the cloud are being utilized. For example, you can see spare VMs by a flavor of choice for all the cloud infrastructure elements. The tab displays information for all types of hosts available, including parameters such as CPU, storage, and memory.

You can access the Instance Types tab in one of the following ways:

  • Select Views > All Views > Cloud > OpenStack > Instance Types.
  • In the OpenStack > Cloud details page, click the Instance Types link under the Configuration Data table.

This tab contains the Instance Type table that displays the following information for each Instance Type in the selected cloud:

Limiting ResourceThe resource that limits the number of additional VMs that can be placed in the cluster. Limiting resource may not necessarily exceed threshold, it is the least available of the three resources – CPU, MEMORY and STORAGE.Computed metric based on average values Resource with lowest Spare VMs among  CPU, MEMORY, STORAGE
