When installing the Gateway Server and the Capacity Agents on computers running the UNIX or Linux operating system, you can choose to use run the installation program from the UI-based wizard or from a command line, also known as silent mode.
Wizard-based installation on UNIX or Linux
- Download the installation files for the Gateway Server and the Capacity Agent.
- Prepare for a Gateway Server installation on a UNIX or Linux computer.
- Perform the Gateway Server installation.
- Install the Capacity Agent application on target computers.
- Verify the Gateway Server Installation on UNIX and Linux.
Silent installation mode on UNIX and Linux
- Download the installation files for the Gateway Server and the Capacity Agent.
- Prepare for a Gateway Server installation on a UNIX or Linux computer.
- Update the property config file for the Gateway Server installation, and perform the installation .
- Install the Capacity Agent application on target computers.
- Verify the Gateway Server Installation on UNIX and Linux.
