Depending on the size of your environment, you might need to install Application Server components on additional computers.
You must have reviewed the Planning topic, and reviewed the Installation scenarios.
You must have completed the procedure described in Performing the Application Server installation or Installing the Application Server components in silent mode.
Important
All target computers for the Application Server components must use the same time zone.
Install Application Server components on additional computers using the cpit
user: Complete the steps described in Preparing to install without a sysdba password; then continue with 769057401.
Install Application Server components on additional computers using the root
user: Complete the following steps. You can use an existing user or create a new user during installation.
Steps marked with are available only if you run the installation program using the root
user.
To install additional instances of Application Server components, repeat the following procedure for each target computer:
Unzip and extract the installation files: In the temporary directory that you created while Preparing to install without a sysdba password, unzip and extract the file.

Note: Ensure that the directory permissions are preserved during extraction. To avoid any folder permission-related errors when you are installing from a read-only location.
Change the directory: After extracting the installation files, change the directory to: ./BCO/Disk1

Set the DISPLAY environment: Your DISPLAY environment must be set correctly to enable the Installer UI to launch.

If the computer does not have a local graphical console: Set the DISPLAY environment variable to export to an XServer on a different workstation. Open the installation program: At the shell prompt, type the following command and press Enter: ./setup.sh
Welcome screen and EULA: In the product installation Welcome screen, click Next, agree to the the End User License Agreement (EULA), and click Next again.
Directory Selection: In the Directory Selection screen, type the installation directory (default: /opt/bmc/BCO
) you want to install the product to, or click Browse to select a directory of your choice, then click Next.
Enter a username: In the BMC TrueSight Capacity Optimization User screen, provide a username (new or existing user) for running the product after the installation, and click Next. The installer will not proceed with the default entry,

, in the username box.
Select the installation step: In the Installation Step screen, select Install additional machines, and click Next.
769057401: Select check-boxes for components you want to install, and clear for those you do not want to.
