You can access the Global Configuration page from the Administration tab. To access, select Administration > Systems > Global Configuration. This page shows the current settings of your TrueSight Capacity Optimization installation, allowing you to edit them.
This is mainly a reference page used to get an overview of the configuration parameters, as these properties are usually set during the installation process. By default, tabs are displayed for basic configuration. When you click Advanced, all tabs available for global configuration are displayed.
The available configuration tabs are:
This tab allows you to configure the TrueSight Capacity Optimization license and its integration with other BMC products.
For information about integrating TrueSight Capacity Optimization with ProactiveNet or TrueSight Operations Management, see Integrating with TrueSight Operations Management.
For information about integrating TrueSight Capacity Optimization with Atrium CMDB and Atrium SSO, see Configuring user authentication.
This tab allows you to configure general connection properties, as shown in the following figure.
Example of the System configuration - Console tab
This tab allows you to configure notification properties, as shown in the following figure.
On the Notifications tab, you can define multiple Administrator Email addresses and SNMP Addresses by typing a semicolon-separated list of addresses.
This tab allows you to configure TrueSight Capacity Optimization default formats, such as the date format, and charts layout, and specify the scope of search as shown in the following figure.
Example of the System configuration - UI Defaults tab
This tab allows you to configure the local or external (Atrium Single-Sign-On or LDAP) authentication for users according to the requirement.
You can use this option to allow only local users to access BMC TrueSight Capacity Optimization.
If Atrium SSO server is configured with BMC TrueSight Capacity Optimization, you can use Atrium SSO for authentication on BMC TrueSight Capacity Optimization.
You can use this option to configure multiple LDAP or secure LDAP domains, to authenticate users using different contexts on the same LDAP server or on different servers.
If you are using LDAP authentication, users should use
<domain>\<username> to login to TrueSight Capacity Optimization. If you have configured default domain, users accessing the default can login without using the domain name.
