The View groups section under Administration > VIEWS consists of a View groups table that lists all views currently configured on your system and also shows the parent view groups they fall under. You can also add custom view groups from this page.

Click Administration > VIEWS > View groups.

The View groups page opens that has the View groups table as shown in the following image:

The table displays the following information:

ColumnDescription
+ Add view groupClick Add view group to add a new view group to the view structure. For more information, see Adding a view group.
NameName of the view group.
DescriptionA brief description of the view group.
Parent view groupName of the parent view group for the view.
PackageName of the package the view group is part of. For example: Custom, Core.
Creation dateThe date on which the view group was created
Click Edit to edit view group properties. For more information, see Editing a view group.
Click Deleteto delete the view group. For more information, see Deleting a view group.

To create a view group

  1. Click Administration > VIEWS > View groups and click Add view group.
  2. In the Add new view group page, select and enter values for the following properties:

    Add view propertiesDescription
    NameA name for the new view group.
    DescriptionA brief description of the view group.
    Parent view groupSelect a parent view group for the new view group you are adding.
    Visible to access groupsSelect the access groups the new view group will be visible and have access to. Click+drag or Ctrl+click to make multiple selections.
  3. Click Save.

To modify a view group

  1. Navigate to Administration > VIEWS > View groups.
  2. Click Edit  corresponding to the view group you want to edit.
  3. In the  page displayed, edit the properties for the view group(The properties are the same as those for Adding a new view group.)
  4. Click Save.

To delete a view group

  1. Navigate to Administration > VIEWS > View groups.
  2. Click Deletecorresponding to the view group you want to delete.

    Note

    Deleting a parent view group deletes any view groups, views or pages under it.
