You can locate the out-of-the-box and custom capacity views in the TrueSight console by expanding the Capacity Views folder in the navigation pane.
Access to views in the TrueSight console is enabled through integrated system authentication with Atrium Single Sign-On. For more information, see Configuring user authentication.

The views that you can access in the TrueSight console are listed in the Views page of the TrueSight Capacity Optimization console too. If you click the view name in the TrueSight Capacity Optimization console, the view automatically opens in the TrueSight console in a new tab of the browser. Your Capacity Optimization console session continues to be active.
The following figure highlights the main fields and options that are available on a view page. The figure contains sample data and does not show all the options on a view page.
To focus on a specific set of your data, you can filter the data in the page based on the domain, applied tags, and time period.
Some views might have additional filters. For example, the Cluster page in the vSphere Data Explorer view provides a cluster filter.
|Using filtering options in views in the TrueSight console|
The landing page of most of the views contains subviews that provide details about specific entities. For example, the vSphere Infrastructure view page shows data for clusters, resource pools, and other entities in separate subviews.

|Subsystem tabs||Some of the subview pages of views further categorize the data based on subsystems or resources. For example, the Clusters subview page in the vSphere Infrastructure view shows data for capacity, CPU, memory, and storage under separate tabs.||Access a subsystem page by clicking the corresponding tab.|
|Table action menu|
This action menu is displayed only when the view page contains data in a tabular format.
The action menu contains the following options:
Show/Hide Columns: Some of the columns of the table are hidden by default. This option enables you to display or hide the optional columns of the table.
Export to Excel: Enables you to save the table as a Microsoft Excel file. Only the columns that are displayed are exported to the file.

Displays data in a tabular format, as different types of charts that display statistical information, or in a tree map format.
Table format: You can change the order of your data by sorting the table and modify the number of records that can be displayed at a time in the table.
Chart format: You can download and save them in various formats, annotate the charts and print them.
Tree map format: Hierarchical data is displayed in size and color-coded graphical representation (similar to a heatmap) and you can drill down into the entities for further details.
|Entity hyperlink||To view details of an entity, you can click the Entity hyperlink and open the corresponding details page. For example, in vSphere Infrastructure > Clusters > Capacity page, click a cluster link in the Cluster column to view its details in the Cluster Details page.||-|

Search icon: Enables you to find systems in a specific view or across all views by filtering out systems based on your search string.
In the Search Results page, you can perform a global search across all the views or select a specific view. You can then view the details of a system by clicking the system name (marked as 1 in following image) or access the corresponding view by clicking the view name (marked as 2 in following image).
You can create temporary tags and assign them to all or some systems that are displayed in the Search Results page. For more information about creating temporary tags, see Working with tag filters.

Help icon: Opens the context-sensitive help topic for the view in the online documentation portal.
