The TrueSight console is now the primary user interface for working with capacity views, which you can access from a web browser or a mobile device.

Big Data and Network views
The Capacity Pools view was migrated to the TrueSight console in the 10.5.00 release.
You can now define personalized views in the TrueSight console. The simplified workflow and the new, easy-to-configure, out-of-the-box view templates enable you to create customized views. Each template provides access to a specific type of data and presents it in a predefined format. You can create as many custom views as necessary. You can now use the enhanced, wizard-based workflow to create data marts for complex custom views or advanced report templates. The new wizard enables you to effectively manage the properties and user access of data marts. For more information, see Managing data marts for custom views, reports, and report templates.
The current integration for Big Data Hadoop with Cloudera and Ambari extractors now includes additional services to support Spark data. For more information, see Moviri Integrator for TrueSight Capacity Optimization - Cloudera and Moviri Integrator for TrueSight Capacity Optimization - Ambari.
Also, the existing Hadoop view is enhanced to support visualization of the Spark data. For more information, see Hadoop view.
With the new EMC XtremIO Management Server extractor, you can collect metrics from the EMC XtremIO Management Server for performing critical capacity optimization tasks, such as analysis, trending, simulation, and analytic modeling. For more information, see EMC XtremIO Management Server ETL for TrueSight Capacity Optimization.
The LUNs discovery and collection of Storage Shares (NetApp Volumes) and Storage Volumes (NetApp LUNs) metrics are updated to improve the performance of NetApp Data ONTAP ETL for TrueSight Capacity Optimization.

The enhanced Open ETL template creation wizard now enables you to create a SQL query for a catalog of entities and relationships (OBJREL) and supports object relationship ETLs and automatic scaling of imported metrics.
Along with support for different metric units, the Open ETL creation wizard maps the imported columns to the expected dataset column and indicates the mandatory and optional fields.
The SQL query that is used during the template creation is validated as part of the workflow to ensure that syntax errors are detected and corrected before you run the ETL. Also, the template has the following enhancements:

You can now disable search for Series and conduct the search on all systems, business drivers, domains and works. For a fresh install of TrueSight Capacity Optimization 10.7, the Series search is disabled by default. If you upgrade to version 10.7, then the Administrator must disable the Series search manually. For more information, see Configuring the default formats in the TrueSight Capacity Optimization console.
Additional metrics support in extractors

The lookup service is enhanced to reduce the time to load the catalog and to reduce the amount of memory that is required for storing the entire shared entity catalog. As a result, the number of calls over high latency network is reduced. For more information, see Lookup service.
The License Tracking utility now enables you to identify the duplicate systems, network devices, and storage entities in your environment that are using the TrueSight Capacity Optimization license. The Auditing - Managed Servers Advanced report template is updated to provide details of product licenses used by the systems that are distinct by name. With the new Auditing - Managed Network and Storage Entities Advanced report template, you can generate a report to view the details of product licenses used by network devices and storage entities.

The Transport Layer Security (TLS) is a building block for secure communication over the internet. The need for authentication and assurance is increasing in the enterprise management environment. You can upgrade the security in your enterprise environment by using TLS 1.2 with server certificate validation for communication among the various components of the product.
