You can perform a variety of management tasks on the VMware virtual machine, such as starting and stopping the virtual machine.
Expand the VMware vCenter Server server object type and then expand the Virtual Machines node. The Virtual Machines node shows all virtual machines configured within the VMware vCenter server. The icon for the virtual machine indicates the current status.

Right-click a virtual machine. From the pop-up menu, select any of the management tasks described in the following table.

Snapshot or Audit | See Running Snapshot, Audit, and Compliance Jobs on virtual infrastructure. |
Start | Start a virtual machine and run any scripts that are configured to run when the machine starts. |
Stop | Run any power-down scripts and then stop a virtual machine. |
Suspend | Pause a virtual machine that is running. |
Reset | Stop and restart a virtual machine. This procedure runs any power-down scripts before the virtual machine stops, and it runs any power-on scripts after the virtual machine restarts. |

Properties | Displays a read-only view of the virtual machine properties, such as path, power status, connection state, and so on. |
